The great Ennio Morricone (best known perhaps for his massive scores on Sergio Leone's "Spaghetti Western" movies) sold it to me when I was a kid, raving to hardcore and techno stole my teens and in more recent years the most important thing for me has been integrity, the preferred source being good electronic music. I make music using my head, ears, hands, computer and any other tools I can get my grubby paws on.
